Welcome to the Richmond Chapter Website! It is a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to serve you as the local chapter President. The responsibility of leading the Richmond Chapter to a new level of excellence is important, and my commitment to accomplishing this task is firm. In the past, NABA has been instrumental in helping to forge the path of opportunity for minority professionals. Our motto, “Lifting as we Climb” stands as an ongoing challenge for NABA members to always strive to rise above the expected and to do the unexpected. I am confident that we will continue to meet this challenge head on in the Richmond Chapter.

The Richmond Metropolitan Chapter of NABA represents approximately 100 minorities in the fields of accounting, business, finance and information technology. Our objective is to address the professional needs of our members and to help build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance profession. This objective is further demonstrated through our National theme, “Achieving Excellence Through Leadership.” This means that our success in the Richmond Chapter is largely impacted by the leadership and dedication of our members. In my role as Chapter President, I will work to ensure that we increase our membership and enhance the leadership development skills of our members though continued quality professional development and membership programs that will be hosted throughout the year. In addition, I will continue to focus our efforts on helping to mold our NABA student members into the future leaders of tomorrow. This objective will be achieved through our continued student development programs including the annual “Interviewing Seminar” and the “Day with NABA.” In addition, the Richmond Chapter will be this years’ host of the Eastern Region Student Conference which will take place October 14-17!!!!

As you can see, this will be a new and exciting year for the Richmond Chapter prepared with you in mind.
